One the biggest problem of an online marketer is traffic generation.

It works like this:
You have a hot product to promote, you only have to find some profitable keywords (there are several ways to do that).
Write several articles on each keywords (the more articles, the more money you make) and submit those articles to top article directories like ezinearticles.com, goarticles.com, searchwarp.com etc remember to insert you affiliate link to your bio box, or else you are just writing to the winds. Grin
3. Forums - You can make meaning contribution in Forums and leave your affiliate link in your signature file. The more relevant your posts, the more target traffic you will get.
4. Classified Ads - This works well when you have a very heady headline for your ad. You got to think up a very interest arousing phrase in your ad just like you are writing for PPC.

Write a short report, release an ebook, a script, anything you can think of. Just make sure it is of value. Throughout the ebook, scatter your links (but don't over do it). Give people valuable information but just leave out the last past (I mean the climax of the info) and refer them to your website.
Also, give people the right to give it away free, Before you know it, your link is all over the place bringing targeted traffic to your site.
